Seeing Santa
This is the first year Adrian has seen Santa. Last year we went to the mall but it was sooo crowded and the line was too long so we didn't even try it. So this year our local grocery store was having Santa so i thought it was perfect to take Adrian there. There was NO ONE in line. It was great we were in and out of there in like 10 minutes. Adrian sat on Santa's lap for about 30 seconds then he was done! Of course I have pics!!

What a day!
Yesterday was my good friend Lisa's daughter's 2nd birthday! We always go over to her house and Adrian plays with the kids so we went over there yesterday to celebrate then I was going to babysit the kids while Lisa and her husband went to his work party last night. Well Sarah and Adrian were playing with crates on their heads and Sarah fell into the windowsill. She had a huge cut above her eye and so we called the ambulance. They came said she would need stitches but they didn't NEED to take her. So Lisa's hubby came home and off they went to Children's Mercy! They finally get back at the time they are supposed to be at the party so they didn't get to go! Sarah is fine now, and had a memorable 2nd birthday. When they came home we ate dinner then had cake!!!

Car seat safety!
For some reason I feel the need to blog this. I never really knew anything about carseat safety before i had Adrian but now after researching and learning i feel quite informed. I feel like everyone who has children or cares for them should know about the safe use of carseats!!! Too many times these days I see people driving around with infants in an infant carrier facing forward, or not buckled in right, toddlers and preschoolers either in the wrong type of carseats or not in one at all!!! It's quite scary some of the things I have seen as I am sure we all have seen. I know also that some people truly dont know that what they are doing isn't safe. That's also scary! I know when we were in Mexico, NO ONE used carseats...ugh! Adrian was in one if we were in our car but if we were in his mom's he wasn't. I was very scared everytime too. Next time I will make sure he is always in a car seat. Right now, Adrian is 38 lbs and in a carseat that will only harness to 40 lbs. So my options are
1. Put him in a booster(NO WAY he is too young)
2. Get him a higher weight harnessing carseat(YES YES YES)
I NEED to get him a higher weight harnessing carseat but right now I dont have the money for it. So i can ONLY hope that he doesn't gain those 2 pounds any time soon. I WILL NOT put him in a booster seat yet with only a seatbelt. He is only 3 years old it is NOT safe.
Current law in Missouri is "Missouri car seat safety laws require children under age four and under 40 pounds to ride in a federally approved child car seat that is appropriate for the child's age and size. Children ages 4 through 7 who weigh more than 40 pounds but less than 80 pounds or are not at least 4'9" tall must ride in an appropriate child car seat or booster seat."
Ok so to recap....it is wayyy safer to rearface as long as possible. Most carseats allow you to rearface til 30lbs or so. That would most likely be until your child is around age 2. It is also MUCH safer to keep your child harnessed for as long as possible. Different seats have different harnessing weights but there are some out there that go up to 80 lbs!!!! If i could buy a seat like that for Adrian I would.
I just ask that you think if your child's safety! Some if you may already know all of this and that is WONDERFUL but some may not and I feel it is very important for people to know!!!!

Job possibility....
Well I answered a Craigslist ad in the childcare section to be a Local Area Representative(LAR) for goAupair. It is an aupair company based out of Utah and I would be working with the families they currently have here in KC as well as recruit new ones, make sure things are going good between the aupair and families, etc. It sounds wonderful! Its part time work out of my house...i would have to go meet with the families and such but i think it is a great opportunity!! So I talked to the lady Friday and she said they would make a decision by Monday or Tuesday!! So please send me your good thoughts that i get the job!!!!!

So much!!
I have so much to post but i have been too lazy to post LOL....anyways last weekend was fairly boring except a trip to see Chuck E Cheese whom Adrian is scared of! LOL But of course like any kid he loves the games so he still had a great time!! And Daddy is a big kid at heart so he was having just as much fun with the games....
So then on Sunday we had a lazy day and rented movies and had a good time....this week Chino only worked one day!! UGH...they were waiting on an inspection for the house they were working on and so hopefully next week is back to normal.
Thursday night we went to watch Chino's boss and some friends play indoor soccer....it was fun...Adrian loved watching but had even more fun with the kids that were there.
So now this weekend we haven't done much but we got free tickets to go to the circus last night so we went and had a great time. Chino has never been to a circus before and neither has Adrian and they both loved it, as did I!!!! Adrian was in awe most of the time. The pics i am about to post of it are horrible quality because it was so dark i had to shoot in manual with no flash so they are blurry...i got alot of good videos but i dont feel like waiting for them all to process here so i will post my favorite! LOL It was a great circus though!!!
That's about all i have for the week!!! I will try and keep up on my posting so its not all jumbled like this one LOL!!!!!!
